Atlanta Jewish Film Festival
SJ Victory Media had the pleasure of attending the Young Professionals Night hosted by the American Jewish Committee on Saturday, February 5th, 2018. This night was part of the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival which is a cinematic exploration of Jewish experience — Jewish culture and history, life in Israel, and the work of Jewish artists — particularly where these stories intersect with other communities both here in Atlanta and around the world.
Young Professionals Night in particular was an exciting event open to young professionals under 40 of all faith and ethnic backgrounds. The pre-screening party started at 7PM where we met an enormous group of youngsters who shared their interest in the film industry and some who just enjoyed films altogether. Held at the Woodruff Arts Center, hors d’oeuvres and drinks were served. Everyone just mingled around and took this opportunity to really connect and network with others who possess the same common interest. Did I mention they had a personal photo booth?!
The pre- screening party was a real hit but the main course for the night was the featured film which they showed at 8:30PM in the Rich Theater. The featured film for the night was "The Boy Downstairs" which is about a conflicted millennial who revisits a failed romance when she unknowingly moves into her ex-boyfriend's Brooklyn brownstone. This film offered a touching and lightly comic contemplation of modern relationships, life choices and the price of independence and freedom. Perfect showing for Young Professionals Night! For those who missed this showing, no worries! At the Springs Cinema, they will play this film once more on Friday, February 9th, 2018 at 12:20PM. The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival is also fortunately, not over. Lasting till February 15th, SJ Victory Media will be attending closing night at the Cobb Energy Centre.
