Let us all celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles who took home the win this past Sunday during the 52nd annual Super Bowl! They took on the New England Patriots whom many fans were so sure to win- or apparently not.
Taking place as the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this will be the Eagles first ever Super Bowl win. They have participated in the Super Bowl twice before, making this their third appearance.
How wonderful they must have felt to defeat the very team who they previously lost to? It was the second Super Bowl in Minneapolis, which hosted Super Bowl XXVI in 1992. Minneapolis is the northernmost city to have held the Super Bowl. Quarterback, Nick Foles, achieved 28 out of 43 passes and 3 touchdowns with 1 interception, along with the Super Bowl MVP title. Congrats to Foles on his outstanding accomplishments!
After P!nk opened with the national anthem and Leslie Odom Jr. sang "America the Beautiful", Justin Timberlake took the show during halftime. He started off performing inside the halls of the arena and enters from the stands performing a mash up of his past hits, not forgetting to pay a tribute to the late Prince.
After the game resumed, it was a whirlwind of action up until the final score. The Philadelphia Eagles ended the game with 41 to 33. Congrats to the team for taking home such a huge title! Who were you all rooting for? Let us know!
